Dichromated Gelatin or DCG is a recording medium that can be hand-coated onto sheets of glass, as in the early days of photography - although with tighter control over humidity. This technique of coating and shooting your own recordings has been mastered by Holographic Artist, August Muth, in his studio at the Light Foundry in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

August has evolved a school of artists who have worked with him in his studio. These  artists are now evolving their own studios in various locations around the world and expanding the application of this quite amazing recording material.

​

This seminar will explore the various ways this revival of an old recording material is taking a new generation of artists into a wave  of creative  exploration. It will also explore the power of being able to control the production of your own recording material.
